Hi Jared,
I was wondering if I might use one or more of your photos of Paul, your Compassion child, in a magazine prototype I'm working on. The magazine is for young Christian women, and I'm hoping to create some Compassion ads for the prototype. So I did a Google image search for Compassion, and one of your photos popped up.

I'll be showing the prototype to magazine-industry people, potential sponsors (Compassion, IMB, TOMS shoes, etc.), and a lot of my girlfriends, since they're my target audience. I'd be glad to email you a pdf file of the ads when they're finished, if you'd like.

Thanks so much for your time!

God loves you,
katie e.

Anton Chekov said, "Any idiot can face a crisis. It's the day to day living that wears you out." I feel like this is especially true in our walk with Christ. When something incredible happens, it's so easy to share and express ourselves and our love, but so many times we let ourselves become caught up in our daily routines and that enthusiasm wears down bit by bit. I also feel that this happens so many times in our outreach ministries---like Jared said, it's so easier to side with the "glamourous" causes, when so many times we've got people with needs staring us in the face. I know that I myself have a hard time remembering that loving the unlovely means stepping out of my comfort zone...I'm working hard not to become mired down by my own crises, and instead actively reach out to those unlovely ones...
