The place I work has a department called the call center. You guessed it they are the front line for calls that come in as they answer any questions that may arise. These guys and gals are awesome! In my role at the office I do not deal with the every day constant phone calls like they do and they take it like champs. I am grateful for people wililng to answer the phone in order to help solve a problem for some one. You may say that is no big deal, but I would beg to differ seeing as if they were not here I would be sitting at my desk answering the phone all day instead of building displays, building recreation games, working on the details for all our summer events, and would be more stressed out. So I would say they are so beneficial. Also they are just cool people to and fun to go hang with. Every once and a while I get to work the call center and it’s cool because not only does it let me appreciate the people working in here but it gives me time to read and study.
I have been reading through the whole bible with my church and wow how encouraged I am by recalling these stories of our forefathers and how incredible our God is. I mean look at Moses. He was a stuttering, blubbering, shy, scared man who did not want to do what the Lord asked of Him, but God in his glory and majesty lead Moses, spoke through him, acted through him and caused a great awakening of His people. The crazy thing is that even through all the miraculous things God did for his people they still doubted him and worshiped idols. The other crazy thing is we do the same thing! God has sent his son, Jesus, to die on our behalf for our sins and bare God’s wrath. We just, in our depravity and self seeking glory, ignore this and live for ourselves. I have encountered some people in my life who have encouraged me because of their lives and how everything screams dedication, love, mercy, grace, and glory of God. Why is this encouraging? In the old testamite we see the presence of the almighty God in the holy place, the temple. Now because of the new testamite because of Christ the same almighty God dwells in us!
May we cast aside worship of ourself and instead turn to adoration of God and abandon this self glorification life style we have been sold.
